yeah it's a pain in the ass particularly when I'm phone posting

Not to worry, Alpha. It's almost impossible to impress this woman at all.

And good, the kid knows how to play ball. It was a soft lob to catch anyway, but you never know with some people, and he knows a hell of a lot more about her than she knows about him. Hob does some well-acted limping out of the office with Alpha in tow, for all the world playing the part of little old lady. She even manages to make small talk until they're a block away from the building, though it's obviously the sort of stilted, uncomfortable small talk that people who really loathe small talk can manage.

Once a block out, she takes her little sound scrubber out of her pocket, turns it on, then puts it back away. Isn't going to do a damn thing for her if Alpha turns on her, but it'll help cut out the casual snoopers.

"So give it to me straight," she says, back to all business. She hates talking around stuff. It's a waste of time. "You aint' a moron and you ain't spineless." The whole duel thing was proof of the latter, if not the former. The fact that he's being cautious--well, she hopes that's caution and not cowardice, but again, duel--seems signal of the former. She'll give him the benefit of the doubt on this one. "How hard are the corporate shitlords ridin' ya?"
